My journey into creating tallow-based skincare began with a desire to return to the roots of natural, time-tested. With an increasing awareness of the unpronounceable ingredients, toxic chemicals, irritants and disruptors that go into what we eat, wear and consume, I started taking the steps to revitalize my life with natural fibers, wholesome ingredients, and natural remedies. ​​

I discovered that beef tallow, once a staple in traditional skincare, holds unique benefits that modern products often overlook. Rich in vitamins and closely resembling our skin’s natural oils, tallow provides unmatched hydration and nourishment without any synthetic additives. This inspired me to craft simple, effective products that honor both the skin and the planet. With just a few pure ingredients, I wanted to create skincare that feels good, works beautifully, and reconnects us with nature’s original remedies.
WildSkin recognizes at our deepest level the critical importance of local, small-business, and family-farmed agriculture on our daily life. From our food supply, to our environmental ecosystem, and our individual health and wellbeing, small agriculture is a vital necessity that is under increasing pressure and attack. With that in mind, we have leveraged our backgrounds and partnered as much as possible with local, small family farms to bring wholesome ingredients from caring, low-impact farms. The WildSkin team is a passionate duo—myself, Eleonore and my husband, Michael. I grew up in the central European country of Austria to two small-business parents involved in the worlds of textiles and grain-agriculture. Michael has maintained a professional athletic career while being the sixth generation on his family's farm.Versed in worlds of stewardship and harmony with the natural world, and driven by a deep commitment to non-toxic living, we believe that nature provides everything we truly need. This is especially true when it comes to skincare.​ Our extensive travels have exposed us to diverse cultures and sparked my desire to help others reconnect with their inner wildness. Michael, my better half, shares this journey with me. He is our first success story: after struggling with sensitive skin constantly irritated through athletic performance, he found lasting relief in the simplicity of our tallow skincare.​ Together, we’re here to bring others closer to nature’s gentle power and guide them towards a healthier, more balanced approach to skincare.
